Babbel is a leading language learning app and elearning platform available in 14 languages which has been available since 2008. The company has around 600 fulltime employees and freelancers headquartered in Berlin. AppAgent was asked to run a holistic growth audit with itsa focus on ASO to identify opportunities how to grow the user base.
Within 3 weeks, AppAgent’s interdisciplinary team of marketing managers, user acquisition managers, ASO specialist, designer and data analyst) revised 18 months of organic and paid traffic data, 10+ internal studies, dozens of A/B tests, thousands of keywords, and other inputs.
Each area of focus had three major parts: analysis, key findings and recommendations. The current strategy of Babbel was basically maxed out but AppAgent identified 3 major opportunities with potential for an incremental growth. This was presented on a full day workshop with Babbel’s marketing team as well as on a C-level conference call with the NY-based company’s CEO Julie Hansen two days after the session in Berlin. By implementing AppAgent’s recommendations, we’ve achieved 20% more daily installs and see our cost per acquisition (CPA) rate on App Store ads drop by 18%. As a result of their work, we have more installs and sales through existing sales channels, which we’re thrilled with.
